I think a great and efficient new media example would be Skype contacts, I know there are already google glasses that act as a smart phone but they don’t have the feature of Skype. These would incorporate smart phone features but focused around business and school. When wearing these contacts someone else can log on and see what the other person is seeing. For example, when exploring s graographic region to learn about anther each individual can log in and see exactly what that one person is exploring. You could sit in a business meeting just by logging onto someone else’s account. There can be a addition of ear set to be able to communicate back and forth as well. This would be helpful for people that need help with shopping for others, when people are lost, and even for people that want to explore places of the world not just through video chat but with their own eyes. It would be like logging on to be able to explore and experience anything through ones own eyes. Imagine being able to visit Rome just by logging onto a friends account. They could see and hear things that someone else is physically experiencing. They can chat with that individual as well through the ear pieces. The only part lacking would be the feeling of sensations.
It is really an awesome idea. It would especially be useful for family and friends, who are in different time zones and difficult for them to see each other.
ReplyDeleteI definitely think that Skype contacts would be very useful. Skype is widely used to keep friends and family connected along with work interviews. These contacts would be very useful in easily accessing the platform at any time or place.
